All the eyes on the new chevrolet Captiva ..
The Captiva is a handsome vehicle, no doubt, but it's getting a full design update come model year 2011. Leading from the front is the wide two-part grille, reshaped hood and redesigned headlamps. Under the redesigned hood, a new range of engines will also make its debut. The current 2.0-litre turbodiesel will be replaced by a 2.2-litre unit that generates about 163PS - this figure may drop for the Indian market as it will be recalibrated for our fuel. This engine will drive either the front wheels or all four, as before, through a six-speed automatic transmission for our market. Hill-start assist, electronic stability control, traction control and braking assist are all standard equipment for the new Captiva. The interior also has been redesigned, with the front fascia now flowing into the driver and passenger doors to create a 'cockpit' feeling. The backlighting will also switch to ice blue, as in the Cruze .. for sure a new look of captiva must effect the other SUVs in this segment.. |
